Director of Investment Management
CAZ Investments is a private investment firm founded in 2001, focusing on exclusive access to unique alternatives. The firm invests personal capital alongside partners, manages over $650mm of proprietary capital, and aligns compensation with client success.
Key Responsibilities- Explain sophisticated investment strategies across asset classes in written and verbal formats.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, communicating internally with the team and externally to investors.
- Create investment‑focused collateral to help the Capital Formation Team win.
- Lead and educate Investment Management Team members.
- Develop content and thought leadership aligned with the firm’s philosophy.
- Give presentations to prospective investors in small and large groups.
- Participate in industry conferences as a panelist and represent the firm professionally.
- Engage with financial media in audio, video, and written formats.
- Strong ability to communicate complex investment concepts effectively in all formats.
- Capacity to quickly learn CAZ investment process and philosophy.
- Delivery of high‑quality work on time, with exacting attention to detail.
- Proficiency in leading within and across teams to bring success to all members of the firm.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to share compelling content impactfully.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; CAIA, CFA, or MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of investment industry experience preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment under strict deadlines.
- Strong leadership and project‑management skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and capacity to think outside the box.
- Expertise in alternative investments, including private equity, private credit, venture capital, and hedge funds.
- Outstanding verbal presentation skills and professionalism.
- Exceptional organizational and written communication skills with keen attention to detail.
- Deep understanding of core financial concepts, including accounting and valuation.
- Experience with Deal Cloud, Bloomberg, and Caissa software strongly preferred.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of macro‑ and micro‑economic trends and ability to apply quantitative modeling techniques.
- Base salary commensurate with experience.
