Commercial Lender

This Commercial Lender drives high-value business loan growth by sourcing, underwriting, and managing complex commercial loans, with high lending authority. The Commercial Lender will analyze complex financial data to structure deals, mitigate risk, and cultivate relationships with corporate clients. This senior role requires 5+ years of experience, strong credit skills, and community involvement to expand the bank’s portfolio.

• Business Development: Proactively identify, target, and acquire new commercial loan customers and deepen existing relationships.
• Credit Analysis & Underwriting: Analyze complex financial statements, tax returns, and cash flows to determine creditworthiness.
• Loan Structuring & Negotiation: Structure loan terms, rates, collateral, and covenants tailored to client needs while minimizing bank risk.
• Portfolio Management: Monitor loan performance, handle renewals, and manage workout cases to ensure maximum asset recovery.
• Committee Presentation: Present large, complex credit requests to Senior Management or the Executive Loan Committee.
• Compliance: Ensure all lending activities adhere to banking regulations, policies, and procedures.

• Experience: Minimum 5–10 years of commercial lending or credit analysis experience.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Exceptional financial analysis, relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills.

• Deep understanding of commercial credit, risk management, and local market trends.
