Job Description

Stellus is seeking an experienced fundraising professional to join our Investor Relations (“IR”) team. This candidate will lead all business development and fundraising efforts within the Retail Channel (RIAs, family offices, high net worth individuals, etc.) including investor targeting and outreach; managing investor due diligence/closing process; playing a leadership role in new product development; and managing a team of IR professionals in all aspects of fundraising and business development.

This employee will be a key member of Stellus’ management team and will be integrated into overall capital formation efforts, including developing capital‑formation strategies in the Retail Channel universe and playing an integral role in new product/structure development.

Stellus recently signed a definitive agreement to join Ridgepost Capital (“RPC”; NYSE: RPC) and the transaction is expected to close mid‑year 2026. RPC is a leading private markets solutions provider with over $43 billion in assets under management as of December 31, 2025. Roles & Responsibilities
  • Drive capital formationwithin the Retail Channel by sourcing and converting new relationships while deepening and expanding commitments from the existing investor base.
  • Lead the IR team across all phases of Retail Channel engagement, from initial outreach and due diligence through final closing.
  • Spearhead strategic planning for new product launches and product marketing in the Retail Channel, including developing marketing and presentation materials, managing online/digital strategy for Retail Channel outreach, and executing targeted “in person” marketing efforts (conferences, outings, etc.).
Job Requirements

Stellus seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, have sound judgment, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical and time management skills, the successful candidate must have:

  • A distinguished track record of capital formation within alternative assets, built through progressively senior roles culminating in demonstrated recent success raising capital for direct lending or private credit strategies in the Retail Channel.
  • Proven ability of initiating, building, converting, and maintaining high‑quality relationships with investment decision makers in the Retail Channel, RIAs, family offices, and high net worth investors; experience and success with Institutional Investors in the alternative space a plus.
  • Deep understanding of all aspects of lower and middle market direct lending, including investment vehicles, structures and terms, market participants and competitive dynamics, market segments, and the investor and consultant universe.
  • Experience managing junior IR professionals to drive origination, due diligence and closing targets.
  • Strategic and nimble thinker with analytical aptitude and business acumen; flexible and able to deal with ambiguity and predict the needs of investors.
  • Effective at leading, influencing and communicating with all levels internally and externally.
  • Superior verbal and written communicator who can effectively toggle from teamwork to independent execution.
