Sr. Manager of Payroll Tax & Compliance

We're seeking a Sr. Manager of Payroll Tax and Compliance to join our Clients team.

• Act as the internal authority on payroll tax, governance, and complex payroll matters, serving as the escalation point for issues requiring deep expertise.
• Partner with payroll vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve system, tax, and configuration issues, ensuring payroll operations run accurately and efficiently.
• Provide oversight of enterprise payroll systems, guiding configuration of tax settings, earnings, deductions, and integrations in collaboration with HRIS and benefits teams.
• Review and validate payroll tax calculations, filings, and reporting, ensuring compliance with federal, multi-state, and local tax requirements.
• Lead payroll governance and internal control practices, including risk assessments and root cause analysis when payroll discrepancies occur.

• 8 - 10+ years of payroll experience, including significant focus on payroll tax compliance and regulatory oversight.
• At least 7 years of payroll tax experience, including federal, multi-state, and local tax regulations.
• Experience working with enterprise payroll systems such as UKG, SAP, ADP, or similar platforms.
• Strong knowledge of payroll governance, compliance practices, and internal controls.
• Proven ability to investigate and resolve complex payroll issues and reconcile payroll data discrepancies.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
