Wholesale Coordinator (Floater) – Houston Office
The Wholesale Coordinator Floater supports various teams by managing a diverse portfolio of loan files, ensuring timely and accurate processing while maintaining exceptional service levels.
PrimaryJob Duties
- Process applications for submission to underwriting
- Work with loan officers, borrowers, underwriters, closers, AMC’s and title companies
- Work with third parties to obtain conditions
- Scan and upload file documentation into LOS
- Clear loan conditions with applicants and communicate with loan officers
- Analyze credit, income, tax returns and asset documents
- File follow‑up and notation in accordance with policy
- Ensure confidentiality of client files
- Provide coverage for Pipeline Coordinators and other Wholesale Operations positions, ensuring continuity and consistency in service
- Create and maintain shared documents, checklists, and folders for Coordinators to streamline communication and file updates
- Adapt to varying workloads and team needs, providing support wherever it is most needed
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Other duties and/or mortgage or company related tasks as assigned by management, including processing overflow loans
- Previous mortgage processing experience required
- Intermediate knowledge of mortgage loan documents, loan origination and underwriting guidelines
- Ability to handle advanced tasks with minimal supervision
- Works well under pressure
- Ability to meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines
- Demonstrates professional behavior with colleagues and supervisors at all times
- Strong time‑management and prioritization skills, and ability to meet deadlines
- Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret procedures, manuals, policies, and regulations
- Demonstrates reliability and punctuality
- Above‑average oral and written communication skills, customer service, and analytical skills
- Intermediate working knowledge of PC applications (Word, Excel, MS Outlook)
- Works with a strong sense of urgency
- Exhibits a positive attitude and strong collaboration skills
- Demonstrates a growth‑oriented mindset
- Takes initiative in additional responsibilities and process improvements
