You’ll be responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, including preparing and analyzing financial reports and contributing to cost accounting activities. Essential Responsibilities

Closing and Reconciliation Duties (65%)

  • Prepare journal entries related to month end close duties.
  • Reviews and analyzes assigned general ledger account balances, verifies accuracy, and makes recommendations for changes.
  • Maintains and reconciles reports of blood and blood components.
  • Prepares monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Performs analysis of unusual or exceptional items and makes recommendations for addressing same.
  • Prepares monthly activity, executive and department analysis reports.

Financial Duties (30%)

  • Prepares annual audit schedules, analyzes discrepancies, and prepares necessary corrective journal entries.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budget.
  • Performs financial analysis.
  • Reviews costing of products and services.

Additional Duties (5%)

  • Leads the annual Blood Inventory count process.
  • Offers direction and support to staff regarding accounting procedures.
  • Completes additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.

Experience

  • Three years’ related experience in all areas of accounting.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems
  • Intermediate or advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency

None

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

  • Must be available to work at least 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
  • Must be able to work additional hours as necessary, based on business needs and as determined by management.
  • Must be available and willing to work such weekends and holidays as determined by supervisor to meet business needs.
