Position Title

International Tax Manager – Houston, TX (Hybrid)

Company Overview

Noble is a leading offshore drilling contractor, operating a modern fleet and engaged in contract drilling of oil and gas wells since 1921.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review quarterly and annual foreign countries’ income tax accruals in accordance with ASC 740 and present observations to the Tax Director and Vice President of Tax.
  • Collaborate with Region Controllers and other departments on material tax issues.
  • Review and approve non‑US tax filings, identify tax planning opportunities, and manage non‑US tax audits.
  • Oversee personal income tax, withholding tax, and VAT filings and payments in assigned jurisdictions.
  • Develop host‑country cash repatriation and cash funding strategies with Treasury and Tax Director.
  • Maintain tax structures for new markets and ensure transaction recording aligns with those structures.
  • Prepare tax calculations for bid request forms and communicate results to Marketing.
  • Review and approve tax clauses in customer and vendor contracts and intercompany agreements.
  • Manage settlement of intercompany notes and trade balances in assigned jurisdictions.
  • Assist in worldwide restructuring feasibility analysis and implementation.
  • Maintain BEPS documentation and notification requirements; conduct due diligence on elimination of unnecessary legal entities.
  • Assist in U.S. consolidated tax return review for planning opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting;
    Master’s preferred.
  • 8+ years of public accounting (international/global tax) and/or oilfield services industry experience.
  • Knowledge of U.S. income tax reporting standards ASC 740 (f/k/a SFAS 109) preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; IFS and One Stream preferred.
  • Domestic and international travel capability (maximum 3–4 times per year).
Travel Expectations

As needed, up to 3–4 times per year.
