What You'll Be Doing as a Payroll Tax Analyst:

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of federal, state and local payroll taxes.
  • Maintain compliance with multi-state payroll tax regulations an reporting requirements.
  • Reconcile payroll tax accounts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Prepare and file payroll tax returns (quarterly and annual).
  • Monitor tax notices and respond to inquiries from government agencies.
  • Partner with payroll, HR, and finance teams to ensure proper tax treatment of wages and benefits.
  • Support year-end processes including W-2 preparation and distribution.
  • Assist with audits and provide documentation as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll tax processes and systems.

Preferred Qualifications of the Payroll Tax Analyst:

  • 3-6 years of payroll tax experience, preferably in multi-state environment.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
  • experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, or similar platforms).
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
