What You'll Work WithThis role interacts with product development and modeling teams at the start of projects and later shifts to working with the assumption setting and rate‑setting implementation team.
Role OverviewThis role focuses on pricing and development of innovative annuity products. You will research and design annuities across our Life & Retirement suite, beginning with baseline simplistic pricing to determine initial feasibility and progressing to sophisticated pricing model analysis.
Responsibilities- Price new annuity products, balancing profitability, marketability, and risk.
- Collaborate with business partners such as product development and product management to optimize pricing with design.
- Perform model testing to ensure that new products are implemented correctly.
- Produce analysis that achieves buy‑in from finance and risk business partners on pricing outcomes.
- Support the development and testing of assumptions appropriate for new products.
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or another quantitative field.
- 5+ years of progressively more responsible actuarial experience with Life & Retirement Insurance products.
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries with the goal of attaining FSA designation.
- Highly detail‑oriented with strong analytical problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Access and Excel.
- Programming skill in SAS, Visual Basic, SQL, or C++ is preferred.
- Experience with modeling software is preferred.
The anticipated base salary range is $110,000 to $115,000 actual compensation offered will depend on geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications. The position is eligible for a discretionary bonus in accordance with the incentive plan. Corebridge also offers a range of competitive benefits.
Work Location & TravelThis position is based in Houston, Texas and follows a hybrid working policy. For the right candidate, the role may also be located in Woodland Hills, CA or Jersey City, NJ. Estimated travel may include up to 25%.
