Champions Mortgage is looking for a Mortgage Solutions Specialist to serve as a trusted problem solver for complex mortgage loans. This position works with loan officers, processors, and underwriters to structure loans, resolve issues, and guide them to approval while ensuring compliance with agency, government, and investor guidelines.

• $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

• Loan Operations & Processing Managers

• Review and assess complex loan files for potential credit or documentation issues
• Structure loans to optimize borrower eligibility and compliance
• Serve as the primary point of contact for loan problem resolution
• Evaluate exceptions, compensating factors, and eligibility scenarios
• Work closely with loan officers and underwriters to facilitate approvals
• Stay current with product updates, guideline changes, and rate sheet adjustments
• Document recommendations and solutions for audit and QC purposes

• Strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication
• Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively prioritize tasks
• Excellent knowledge base in mortgage industry/familiarity with mortgage guidelines and loan originating process
• Positive attitude and enthusiasm for the role
• Ability to engage clients and provide excellent customer service
• Excellent problem solving skills - ability to think out the box and provide effective solutions to complex loan scenarios
• Ability to be detail orientated, organized and work as a team player
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and complete tasks on a set deadline based on company’s needs
• Dependable and flexible schedule
• Ability to work in fast paced/high volume environment

• 3+ years in loan structuring, problem-solving, or underwriting support
• Deep knowledge of agency, government, and investor guidelines
• Strong analytical skills and ability to review complex loan scenarios
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Current and valid NMLS Loan Officer license
• At least ONE year experience working as a licensed loan officer or proven work experience/related training that provide the necessary skills, knowledge and abilities required of the job - must be residential/real estate related loan origination experience
• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Finance or Economics or related filed (preferred but not required)

• Mortgage Experience in retail, wholesale, or Independent Mortgage Bankers
• Familiarity with LOS systems (Lending Pad)
• Experience reviewing Conventional, Self Employed, Jumbo, & Non-QM loan scenarios.
