Corporate Transactions Group (CTG)

CTG is a subsidiary of A&M that offers a structured, end‑to‑end service for corporate clients throughout the M&A cycle, from buy‑side due diligence to sell‑side divestitures and strategic partnerships. Position Summary

As a Senior Associate, you will partner with a team of professionals on diverse projects across industries such as manufacturing, distribution, consumer, retail, healthcare, software& technology, aerospace, defense, and energy. Your role focuses on integrated due diligence that blends operational, functional, and industry expertise with high‑quality financial accounting and tax services to drive value throughout a transaction.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with core financial due diligence, identifying key risks and deal breakers, and evaluating target businesses against industry benchmarks.
  • Analyze financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) and operational data, synthesizing findings into actionable insights for client discussions.
  • Evaluate the quality of target earnings, net assets, and cash flows.
  • Develop deal‑orientation reports and presentations, highlighting financial, commercial, and other findings that inform valuations and negotiation points.
  • Participate in meetings and conference calls with target management and client personnel, serving as a secondary point of contact for day‑to‑day execution matters.
  • Build and maintain client relationships and contribute to business development opportunities.
  • Mentor and counsel CTG associates and analysts.
  • Develop and deliver training courses for CTG staff.
  • Research technical accounting subjects relevant to financial due diligence.
  • Coordinate with other A&M service groups and functional areas during engagements.
  • Delegate work and review associates’ and analysts’ performance.
  • Apply basic project‑management skills.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of financial accounting due diligence experience or equivalent at a top accounting firm.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or a related major.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent credential.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and purchase accounting.
  • High proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proficiency in basic project‑management skills.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Willingness to travel for projects and A&M needs.
  • Thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
Compensation and Benefits

The base salary is $130,000 annually, variable. A&M offers a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance.
