Role OverviewWe are seeking an Investment Banking Sr. Analyst / Associate who is intellectually curious, technically strong, and excited to play a meaningful role in shaping our growing franchise. The role is embedded within the Energy & Energy Transition sector coverage team, supporting execution across M&A, capital raises, strategic advisory, and leveraged finance transactions. This position offers immediate responsibility, exposure to senior clients, and the opportunity to lead key work streams while mentoring junior talent.
Responsibilities- Take a leadership role in the preparation of client presentations, pitch books, and financial analyses.
- Manage and review financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction documentation.
- Oversee Analysts’ work, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of materials.
- Lead due diligence processes and coordinate across internal teams and client counter parties.
- Actively participate in client meetings and contribute to deal discussions.
- Conduct in‑depth industry and company research to support origination and client strategy.
- Engage directly with senior bankers and clients on live transactions and business development opportunities.
- Support the development of junior team members and contribute to team culture and processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, STEM, or a related field – Required.
- MBA or other advanced degree – Preferred.
- 3+ years of relevant experience within the energy or infrastructure sector, including investment banking, corporate finance, accounting, or related fields; technical roles within energy are also considered – Required.
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and investment banking products, with energy experience preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including financial modeling and valuation.
- Proven ability to manage multiple work streams and deliver high‑quality output in a fast‑paced environment.
- High ownership mindset and strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and internal teams.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and interest in mentoring junior professionals.
- FINRA licenses (SIE, Series 63, Series 79) or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products.
