• Manage daily accounting activities including maintenance of the general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Oversee day‑to‑day financial operations with the support of the Project Accountant, including bill processing, approvals and payments
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Ensure compliance with US GAAP and tax regulations
• Oversee periodic draws against development loans and bonds, ensuring completeness, compliance and project liquidity needs are met
• Lead calculation, preparation and payment of monthly internal project billings
• Participate in preparation and analysis of budgets, forecasts and budget vs. actuals reporting
• Assist with the preparation, review and administration of internal and external reporting requirements for investors, lenders, banks, etc.
• Support the development and marketing teams on project financial and accounting matters
• Support the internal financial analysts to inform project cash flow and returns projections
• Liaise with external auditor and tax accountants, overseeing project audits and tax return preparation
• Oversee vendor onboarding, communication and compliance
• Oversee 1099 preparation and remittance

• Support the Controller, Directors and Owners with special projects as needed
• Assist with creation, documentation and implementation of various accounting policies and procedures
• Oversee internal financial controls and procedures, ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial reporting

• Supervise Accounting staff to support growth and professional development
• Provide leadership toward additional value‑added activities and support operational and departmental excellence, while fostering teamwork across functions

• BBA Accounting required
• Strong technical skills and US GAAP expertise
• Effective business writing, strong analytical skills, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong quantitative and technical/computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required; experience with Intacct a plus
• Must be a team player who will work well in a small company environment
