Job Details

Our company is seeking a Senior Accountant to take the lead role in our Accounting and Finance department. This is a position that offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in our financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a wide range of accounting functions, including Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), manufacturing, fixed assets, inventory, variance analysis, Operating Expenses (OPEX), and cash forecasting.

This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in the field and a deep understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, and more.
  • Developing and maintaining timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Managing the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies.
  • Conducting regular ledger maintenance and reconciliation activities.
  • Overseeing the maintenance and accuracy of the company’s inventory management system.
  • Conducting regular variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Managing the company’s fixed assets and ensuring proper recording of new purchases and disposals.
  • Assisting in the development of budgets and financial forecasts, and producing budget‑versus‑actual reports for management.
  • Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Collaborating with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
  • Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a senior accounting role.
  • Proven experience with COGS, manufacturing accounting, fixed assets, inventory management, variance analysis, OPEX, and cash forecasting.
  • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and accounting software systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to make data‑driven decisions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results‑orientation.
