Financial Analyst, Risk Manager/Analyst

Responsibilities- Design, price, and implement life insurance products, balancing profitability, marketability, and risk.
- Lead Group Benefits reporting requirements for Minimum Loss Ratio (MLR) under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), and produce large‑client annual reports on plan performance.
- Develop assumptions, prepare state filings, and obtain approvals for Traditional Life products.
- Review emerging experience, adjust assumptions, and refine pricing as necessary.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product Development, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Distribution, and Reinsurance teams.
- Proficient in at least one actuarial pricing projection software, ideally PROPHET or AXIS.
- New FSA preferred;
Career ASA or near FSA with 5+ years of experience also considered. - Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field.
- Ability to work well in teams and handle multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Customer‑oriented, providing strong service to internal stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and computer programming (VBA, C++).
- Strong problem‑solving skills and hands‑on willingness to learn.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $115,000 to $120,000 at the commencement of employment. The actual compensation offered will depend on geographic location, skills, experience, and other qualifications. The role is eligible for a discretionary bonus under the applicable incentive plan.
Work LocationThis position is based in one of Corebridge Financial’s offices in Houston, TX;
Woodland Hills, CA; or Jersey City, NJ and follows a hybrid working policy, allowing colleagues to work both in an office and remotely.
