Accountant, Financial Reporting, Financial Analyst

The Accountant will play a crucial role in the financial management of our organization. This position involves assisting with the month‑end close process, including bank reconciliations, allocating charges, preparing journal entries, and reviewing and analyzing financial statements.

• Prepare and post accurate journal entries.
• Complete monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Assist with operating expense accruals.
• Review general ledger accounts to ensure the accurate recording of assets, liabilities, and expenses.
• Prepare P&L variance analysis for assigned areas, reviewing financial reports to identify and explain variances.
• Assist with annual financial statement audits.
• Contribute to the implementation of scalable processes to enhance efficiency.
• Handle ad hoc reports and projects as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience with general ledger and month‑end close processes.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with excellent computer skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Competency in reading and understanding technical forms and financial reports.
• Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Detail‑oriented with a professional attitude and reliable nature.
• Well‑organized and self‑motivated.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with employees and vendors.
• Knowledge of general ledger systems and procedures, financial charts of accounts, and corporate procedures.
• Property accounting experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with Yardi software preferred but not required.
