Cost Accounting Analyst

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a large, established manufacturing organization to identify a Cost Accounting Analyst

• Manage month‑end activities for assigned manufacturing sites, ensuring accurate cost and inventory reporting
• Conduct variance analysis, standard costing updates, and inventory reviews to support operational decision‑making
• Prepare internal reporting packages, financial summaries, and performance insights for plant and finance leadership
• Partner with production teams on forecasting, budgeting, and key operational metrics
• Support annual budgeting, audit requests, and periodic inventory counts across multiple locations
• Ensure accuracy of cost flows, purchase price standards, and goods‑receipt reconciliations
• Assist with process improvement initiatives focused on cost accuracy, reporting quality, and operational efficiency

• 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Advanced Excel skills and exposure to ERP systems (SAP, JDE, or similar)
• Ability to analyze data, identify drivers, and communicate clear financial insights
• Strong cross‑functional communication skills and confidence working with operations teams
• Proven ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and operate independently in a dynamic environment
