Loan Officer Associate

Role OverviewThe Loan Officer Associate supports Loan Officers and Division Managers, developing skills and knowledge to become a Loan Officer. The role includes on‑line and classroom education, operational and hands‑on training, and participation in marketing and customer relations activities.
Responsibilities- Participate in formal training programs covering lending, loan types, credit assessment, and the loan approval process.
- Train with the manager on mortgage rate sheets to accurately price and lock loans.
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly reports to learn the overall mortgage process.
- Complete testing for mortgage licensing and maintain RESPA continuing education.
- Update loan applications and maintain notes in the Loan Origination System.
- Assist with initial file setup and provide support to processors and closers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with builders, realtors, and borrowers.
- Act as the primary contact between borrowers and Loan Officers, scheduling and conducting meetings.
- Provide customer support through phone, email, and chat; respond promptly to inquiries.
- Assist with marketing campaigns and internal communications; flexible schedule including weekends and evenings.
- High school diploma or equivalent (BA/BS preferred).
- Mortgage or banking experience preferred.
- Experience articulating product or service features, benefits, and value.
- Strong customer focus and willingness to go above and beyond.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
