Capital Strategy Analyst
Partners with the businesses to ensure that the capital strategies are operationally supported and strategically focused to secure the greatest return on investment for the global company. Gathers financial data and performs financial analyses and reporting (e.g., profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow, pricing, etc.) to influence decisions within the business and to drive cross-business initiatives (e.g., Mergers & Acquisitions).
Drives the forecasting process (weekly, monthly, and long term) by analyzing trends within the businesses and ensuring alignment with business- and corporate-wide objectives. Communicates and drives adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the organizations financial goals and policies. Has the fiduciary responsibility to represent financial results correctly both internally and externally. Ensures strong business controls.
Master:
Unique mastery and recognized authority on relevant subject matter knowledge including technologies, theories, or techniques. Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas. Successfully operates in the most complex disciplines, in which the company must operate to be successful. Provides highly innovated solutions. Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and criteria for achieving objectives. Develops strategy and leads large, cross-division functional teams or projects the affect the organizations long term goals and objectives.
May participate in cross-division, multi-function teams. First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA) strongly preferred. Typically, 10+ years of experience as a financial analyst. Typically experienced in a variety of finance functions. Thorough level of knowledge of tactical accounting/financial analysis. Exposure to specific specialty financial area at this level is highly desirable.
Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues in the Supply Chain Services area. May act as a project leader coordinating and providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation across different teams such as IT, Customer Support, Finance Operations, Procurement, Order Management. Ability to handle most unique situations derived from the ongoing implementation of S4 for services flows.
