The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization serves as a strategic partner to Superior Energy Services, providing financial insights and analytics that support informed decision-making across the business. The team leads budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance reporting processes, while partnering closely with operations, accounting, and executive leadership to evaluate performance, identify risks and opportunities, and drive accountability. FP&A also plays a key role in supporting strategic initiatives such as capital allocation, cost optimization, and long-term planning, while enhancing data visibility and reporting capabilities through ERP systems, business intelligence tools, and continuous process improvements.
The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will lead the company's budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis functions. This role partners closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver financial insights that support strategic decision-making, operational efficiency, and long-term business growth. This position will work closely with the M&A team and also support the CFO on capital-raising initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a strategic and analytical finance leader with strong experience in financial planning, business analysis, and executive reporting within complex, fast-paced organizations. Industry experience in oil & gas is preferred but not required.

* Duties and Responsibilities:

* + Lead the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
+ Develop and maintain a comprehensive, driver-based financial model to support strategic planning and forecasting throughout the fiscal year.
+ Provide scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to evaluate the impact of market changes and business strategies.
+ Contribute to the development of business strategies aligned with company goals and growth initiatives.
+ Analyze financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities.
+ Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior leadership.
+ Deliver insights and actionable recommendations to improve business performance and cost management.
+ Develop KPI reporting and dashboards to enhance visibility into operational and financial performance.
+ Monitor key metrics such as revenue performance, utilization, labor costs, EBITDA margins, and working capital.
+ Partner with executive leadership, operations, and department heads to support financial and operational decision-making.
+ Work with department leaders to develop forward-looking budgets and forecasts.
+ Collaborate with accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting and proper treatment of operational transactions.
+ Support workforce planning, capital planning, and investment analysis initiatives.
+ Manage and influence the flow of accurate, actionable data using systems such as Power BI, ERP platforms (e.g., IFS), and Excel.
