Overview & Responsibilities
Are you a current Junior or Senior in college seeking an internship with a Finance or Business focus? Republic Finance is looking for Interns for our Branch Operations program. As a Branch Ops Intern you will learn daily functions and operations of a branch, the broader organization, and multiple career opportunities. You will work with team members and leaders, gain real‑world experience, and participate in projects such as the Republic Way sales and customer service approach, compliance training, loan closing, leadership training, and branch operations continuous improvement.
We offer a 100% onsite internship, pay $15.00 per hour, and provide a goal of full‑time employment after successful completion of the program.
Key Responsibilities- Complete licensing and an accelerated version of the Assistant Branch Manager Program to learn the loan process and regulatory training.
- Assist in daily production of loan origination, processing, closings and fundings including allocating files for doc prep, auditing closed files, and preparing files ready to fund.
- Work with your Manager and Regional Vice President to learn responsibilities at their levels and understand the promotional path within Republic Finance.
- Attend regional meetings and workshops to gain exposure to the Branch Operations division.
- Participate in Branch Operations process improvement projects (specific projects assigned based on current Regional Vice President & Sr. Vice President projects).
- Learn about corporate roles that value Branch backgrounds (Audit, Compliance, Training, Recruiting, etc.). Receive an overview of benefits during the program.
- Must be a Junior or Senior majoring in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Eager to learn, enthusiastic, reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work a minimum of 18‑20 hours per week.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Must meet acceptable standards for criminal background history, credit history, and pass a pre‑employment drug screen.
- Must be eligible for insurance licensing to sell voluntary insurance products (eligibility based on state of insurance criminal background check).
