Tax VP​/Director - Houston, Texas

The Tax Director will lead all tax-related functions, ensuring compliance while driving strategic tax planning initiatives that support business growth and profitability. Description Lead and manage the company's overall tax strategy, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations. Oversee tax planning and forecasting to optimize financial outcomes for the organization. Manage the preparation and review of corporate tax returns and filings. Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to address complex tax matters. Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, providing guidance on their impact to the organization.

Develop and implement tax policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency. Train and mentor tax team members, fostering professional growth and development. Support audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities as needed. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred; MST a plus) 8-12+ years of progressive tax experience, ideally with a mix of public accounting and industry Prior experience in energy, oil & gas, or technology sectors strongly preferred Deep knowledge of corporate tax compliance, provision, and planning Job Offer Competitive salary ranging from $180,000 to $220,000 USD, DOE.
