Job OverviewThe primary purpose of this role is to manage client investment portfolios, provide comprehensive investment planning, and administer day‑to‑day client account administration.
Responsibilities- Manage client portfolios and administer client accounts within prescribed investment, fiduciary, and regulatory guidelines.
- Analyze clients’ complete financial picture and develop individualized investment portfolios aligned with their goals.
- Participate in the financial planning process and ensure risk assessment and mitigation.
- Document client communications and interactions in Salesforce.
- Determine client risk profiles, educate clients about investment risks, and trade‑off.
- Create and execute investment strategies to maximize returns commensurate with acceptable risk.
- Ensure account structures comply with client investment policy statements and reflect current strategy; develop transition plans when appropriate.
- Provide ongoing monitoring, rebalancing, and communication to maintain alignment with client objectives.
- Conduct investment research and stay informed on market developments and economic environment.
- Prospect new clients, secure additional assets, and uncover business development opportunities.
- Collaborate with relationship managers and team members to deliver diverse financial solutions and maximize relationships.
- Working knowledge of portfolio theory and some understanding of fiduciary law.
- Advanced understanding of investing and exceptional relationship management skills.
- Valid driver’s license and compliance with Commerce Bank’s driving record criteria.
- Motivated self‑starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 7+ years of successfully managing investment portfolios for a wealth‑management firm.
- Experience with the asset allocation process.
- Experience with Salesforce.
- Professional certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CFP (Certified Financial Planner) preferred.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration preferred.
