Role OverviewNFE is seeking a Financial Operations Manager to lead the preparation and oversight of monthly and quarterly financial reporting, refine company forecasts in alignment with recent results, and deliver management-level reports and summaries on key financial indicators. This role will ensure the accuracy and continuous improvement of company forecasts by identifying and implementing corrective actions. The Finance Manager will collaborate across teams to drive financial insights and operational improvements.
Responsibilities- Oversee coordination of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closes, including variance analysis against budget and re-forecasting efforts. Establish a consistent cadence with timelines and deadlines aligned with public company reporting standards.
- Foster integration between Accounting, Treasury, and FP&A teams to guarantee accurate, timely financial data reporting.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process and manage ongoing budget tracking across departments such as operations, development, marine, LNG Trading, and corporate support functions.
- Support the Finance department by generating detailed reports and conducting ad hoc analyses to assess project-level performance and operational results, primarily using Excel.
- Enhance and streamline financial reporting procedures and operational processes related to actual financial results across all statements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or financial management.
- Experience in power generation, shipping & transportation, or natural gas/LNG industries is advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong command of Microsoft Office.
- Solid understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Navision (NAV), Dynamics NAV, One Stream, or Oracle is a plus.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with a keen focus on financial reporting processes.
- Detail-oriented with excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, with high integrity and a strong work ethic.
