We are looking for an experienced Portfolio Manager Team Lead to join our Commercial Banking team in Northwest Crossing Houston, TX.
Essential Functions- Responsible for leading and coaching a team of portfolio managers in various tasks including credit underwriting, risk assessment and portfolio monitoring and maintenance.
- Responsible for spreading and analyzing financial statements, addressing industry risks, collateral requirements, loan structuring and pricing, credit analysis, monitoring credit performance, and loan presentations.
- Responsible for relationship portfolio management, conducting relationship reviews and recommends products and services that meet clients financial needs.
- Responsible for leading members of a team, coaching a team to develop new relationships, grow existing relationships through cross selling while providing a high level of client satisfaction.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requires a bachelor's degree in banking, finance or a related field and 8+ years commercial lending, credit analysis, underwriting or other directly related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
- Expert knowledge of commercial banking, credit analysis, underwriting, lending, loan processing and closing processes.
- Ability to evaluate commercial banking loans, client relationships, and cross sell bank products.
- Requires exceptional risk assessment and leadership ability.
- Expert experience in applicant interviewing.
- Excellent problem resolution and judgment skills.
- Ability to structure loans and monitor credit performance.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to train, lead and mentor a team of portfolio managers.
- Working knowledge of a software applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.
- Excellent supervisory or leadership skills required.
