This position plays a direct role in driving investment decisions through rigorous research and analysis. This includes building financial models, evaluating current industry and market conditions, and delivering insights that determine portfolio strategy. Working closely with company leadership in a team environment, this individual will contribute to a research-driven investment process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Construct and analyze financial models on public companies.
  • Maintain communication with sell-side analysts.
  • Meet with company management teams, in order to gain insight into their business models and form opinions about growth prospects.
  • Assist other analysts and portfolio managers as needed with fundamental research.
  • Monitor economic conditions and data, and contribute to the portfolio management team’s analysis of the economy.
  • Meet with clients and consultants of SIMG, in order to be able to convey current portfolio positioning, performance, and market conditions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 2+ years of related experience and/or training.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills with the ability to determine the appropriate action.
  • Process management skills.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, with the ability to learn and utilize industry specific software as required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated reliability in attendance and work performance.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) preferred.
