As a Relationship Banker (RB) you will build, expand, and retain client relationships while delivering an exceptional client experience. You will assess client needs and provide expert financial solutions, marketing bank products, and conduct daily interactions, outbound calling, business visits, networking events, and periodic ‘At Work’ events. You are expected to achieve and/or exceed individual and branch goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Share and recommend the bank’s full range of resources, including traditional in-branch services, digital capabilities, and business partner services.
- Meet individual goals through required in‑person and outbound calling activities that share valued solutions via a needs‑based philosophy.
- Perform all functions related to opening and closing accounts, including appropriate account selection, research, and compliance with BSA and CIP requirements.
- Facilitate consumer loan requests: solicit requests, maintain knowledge of loan policies, assist with the consumer loan portfolio, and coach staff (for Sr RB) to sell and handle consumer loans effectively.
- Uncover needs and refer customers to partner‑centric teams that include small business, corporate, institutional partners, and mortgage and financial advisors.
- Maintain a high level of client satisfaction by engaging customers and ensuring an optimal experience.
- Ensure all departmental documents and activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, and complete required compliance training.
- Process customer requests and transactions accurately and professionally, engaging in genuine conversation to identify needs and recommend solutions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required; additional education is a plus.
- Two years of customer‑facing, goal‑oriented experience.
- Register with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) or obtain an NMLS license after employment.
- Computer skills: proficiency in MS Office programs.
- Understand and utilize social media platforms to share brand awareness and gather market knowledge.
- Occasional travel to meetings, training, and support other banking institutions as needed.
- Ability to provide support and guidance at other banking institutions within the market.
