Senior FP&A Analyst
Job Overview
The Senior FP&A Analyst will play a critical role in supporting financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and operational analysis across the Contractor Solutions segment. This position partners closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Accounting teams to provide actionable insights that improve business performance and support strategic decision‑making. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, comfortable working with large, complex data sets, and able to translate business questions into detailed analyses and clear recommendations.
This full‑time, salary opportunity requires a daily presence at our Houston Spenwick facility during normal business hours, Monday through Thursday, and working remotely on Fridays.
The Role
- Strong analytical ability with experience working through large data sets to independently answer complex business questions with actionable insights.
- Strong accounting and finance foundation to serve as a versatile business partner across FP&A, operational finance, and accounting‑related analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships and effectively partner with business leaders and cross‑functional teams.
- Strategic mindset with strong business and financial acumen to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance drivers. Interact at all levels with budget owners and other stakeholders to produce timely, efficient reporting.
- Lead monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and long‑range planning processes for multi‑business segment.
- Analyze large and complex financial and operational data sets to identify trends, root causes, risks, and opportunities.
- Translate high‑level business questions into detailed financial analysis and concise recommendations for leadership.
- Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools that improve visibility and insights.
- Support month‑end close processes through flash reports, variance analysis and collaboration with Accounting teams.
- Deliver strategic analysis and scenario modeling to support pricing, business decisions, cost initiatives, and operational improvements.
- Prepare executive‑level reporting and presentations with clear storytelling and actionable recommendations.
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting automation, data integrity, and financial processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
- 4+ years of FP&A, finance, accounting, or operational finance experience, preferably within manufacturing.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities.
- Experience with ERP systems; JDE preferred.
- Experience with BI and data visualization tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Preference given to local applicants who reside in the Houston Metro area.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with experience working through large data sets and ambiguous business questions.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and operational finance concepts.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to balance detailed analysis with strategic thinking and business partnerships.
- Knowledge of standard costing, manufacturing variances, inventory accounting, and operational KPIs.

Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an office environment and occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment requiring appropriate PPE. The employee must be able to read, communicate verbally and/or in written form, remember and analyze information, and remember and understand instructions. The employee may be required to stand, walk, sit at a computer for extended periods, and occasionally lift or move up to 25 lbs.
The position requires computer use and specific vision abilities such as close, color, distance, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
