Treasury Analyst (Contrast) - Houston, TX

The Treasury Analyst is responsible for the daily execution of all treasury and cash management activities, including both trading and non-trading settlements, representing approximately 7000 treasury transactions per year. The role requires working independently, taking initiative, maintaining composure in a time-sensitive environment, and building productive relationships with Finance, Back Office teams, and counterparts across Group entities.

Responsibilities
  • Daily cash forecasting with Treasury by 8:00 a.m., confirming net funding requirements for each account.
  • Review and release daily payments for completeness and accuracy, ensuring timely submission to Themis/Banks in alignment with cut-off times and vendor requirements.
  • Manage daily cash sweeps from Treasury to Bank to optimize the US Cash Pool.
  • Verify new wire instructions with counter parties via callback and enter validated details into the Treasury Module.
  • Lead daily cash activity analysis and initiate Back Office follow-up on missing receipts.
  • Oversee cash allocation and partner with Back Office on complex allocation issues and resolution.
  • Initiate FX requests for review by the Treasury Supervisor.
  • Support treasury projects led by the Treasury Supervisor and Financial Controller.

  • Strong adherence to internal controls, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and process integrity.
  • Proactive, critical thinking with the ability to identify and propose continuous process improvements.
  • Ability to multitask and operate autonomously while maintaining dependability and high execution standards.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in cash management, treasury processing, accounts payable/receivable, and/or accounting within the Energy Marketing or Trading industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance and/or Accounting.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including intermediate Excel skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills essential for success in the role.
