The Finance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Joe Myers Toyota in Houston, TX. This role is responsible for structuring vehicle finance and lease deals, securing approvals from lenders, and presenting financing and optional protection products to customers in a clear, compliant, and customer‑focused manner. The Finance Manager works closely with the sales team to finalize transactions, ensure accurate and timely completion of all contracts and paperwork, and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions.
Daily responsibilities include reviewing credit applications, explaining terms and rates, monitoring deal profitability, and adhering to all legal, regulatory, and dealership policies. The role also involves tracking finance performance metrics, assisting with process improvements, and supporting a positive, professional experience for every customer.
- Strong financial and analytical skills, including experience reviewing credit applications, structuring deals, and understanding interest rates, terms, and lending guidelines.
- Knowledge of automotive finance and insurance (F&I) processes, including lender programs, leasing, extended service contracts, GAP, and related protection products.
- Proficiency with dealership management systems, finance software, and basic office tools (e.g., MS Office), with strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly, build customer trust, and collaborate with sales and service teams.
- Solid understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements related to automotive financing, privacy, and consumer protection, with a commitment to ethical practices.
- Prior experience as a Finance Manager or in automotive sales, banking, lending, or related financial services is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
- Ability to work on-site in a fast‑paced dealership environment, including evenings and weekends as needed, while maintaining a professional, customer‑focused demeanor.
