THE ROLE

This Operations Analyst role is based in Houston and offers direct exposure to all facets of the business, including finance, accounting, operations, compliance, IT, and marketing. Reporting to the COO/CFO in New York, this position plays a critical role in supporting daily operations while contributing to financial reporting for board and investor audiences. This is a high-impact opportunity for someone eager to grow within a dynamic and fast-paced hedge fund environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Trade booking and settlement
  • Daily portfolio and cash reconciliations
  • Counter party onboarding and relationship maintenance
  • Collateral and securities lending management
  • Risk and regulatory reporting
  • Preparation and review of daily reporting for the investment team
  • Month-end pricing compilation and review
  • Monthly net asset value (NAV) package reconciliation and review from the external administrator
  • Calculation and reconciliation of investor- and fund-level returns
  • Assist with the preparation of fund financial statements and tax returns
  • Support day-to-day operational activities across the firm
  • Assist with process automation and workflow optimization
  • Support quarterly and annual RFIs
  • Assist with daily and monthly P&L reporting
  • Support compliance-related activities
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field
  • One to three years of experience in public accounting, hedge funds, or fund administration
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to work
  • Strong work ethic and intellectual curiosity
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in Big 4 Assurance
  • Exposure to hedge fund operations or fund administration environments
  • Experience with process automation or workflow optimization
