Private Equity Associate - Infrastructure

A leading middle-market private equity firm is seeking a Private Equity Associate to join its investment team in Houston. The firm invests in industrial and infrastructure businesses, partnering with management teams to accelerate growth and create long-term value.

This role offers the opportunity to work across the full investment lifecycle, from sourcing and evaluating new investments to transaction execution, portfolio management, and value creation initiatives.

• Evaluate investment opportunities across the industrials and infrastructure sectors.
• Build detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and investment memoranda.
• Conduct commercial, financial, and operational due diligence.
• Support transaction execution, including coordinating with management teams, lenders, legal counsel, and third-party advisors.
• Monitor portfolio company performance and assist with strategic initiatives to drive operational improvements and growth.
• Perform industry research and market analysis to identify attractive investment themes and opportunities.

• 1–4 years of experience in investment banking or private equity with strong M&A or principal investing experience.
• Prior experience covering industrials, infrastructure, energy, or related sectors is strongly preferred.
• Exceptional financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities with the confidence to interact with senior executives.
• Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record.
