Role Overview

As part of a leading global bank with a rapidly expanding U.S. investment banking platform—particularly in Houston—you will benefit from both the scale and balance sheet of Santander and the momentum of a team in build mode. The optimal candidate possesses some experience within an energy, power, or infrastructure investment banking group but is looking for a more intimate, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment where initiative is valued and high performance is visible.

Difference You Make
  • Support deal execution, including preparing pitch books, client presentations, and transaction materials
  • Perform detailed valuation analysis, including discounted cash flow, trading comparables, transaction comparables, and LBO analysis
  • Manage due diligence processes and coordinate across internal teams and client counter parties
  • Actively participate in client meetings and deal discussions
  • Conduct in-depth industry and company research to support origination and client strategy
  • Engage directly with senior bankers and clients, contributing to live transactions and developing strategic insights
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, STEM, or a related field – Required
  • 1-3 years of Investment banking experience or 1–3 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, accounting/audit, or within the energy or infrastructure sector
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance and investment banking products, with energy experience preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including financial modeling and valuation
  • High ownership mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a desire to contribute to team building and culture
It Would Be Nice For You To Have
  • Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education
  • FINRA licenses (SIE, Series 63, Series 79) or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
