Finance Manager
We're partnering with a well-established nonprofit organization in Houston that is seeking an experienced Finance & Administration Manager to join its leadership team. This is a hands-on role responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, supporting strategic financial planning, and partnering with leaders across the organization to ensure long-term financial health and operational excellence.

What You'll Do:
- Support the Finance Director with financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and long-range financial planning.
- Analyze revenue opportunities, expense trends, and operational efficiencies to support strategic decision-making.
- Track financial performance and ROI for productions, fundraising initiatives, and earned revenue activities.
- Prepare revenue and expense forecasts for ticket sales, rentals, concessions, parking, and other revenue streams.
- Maintain the general ledger in Quick Books and oversee month-end close activities.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and perform account reconciliations.
- Reconcile ticketing and contribution activity with accounting records while partnering with internal departments to resolve discrepancies.
- Support donor, grant, and development-related financial reporting.
- Assist with payroll processing, annual audits, IRS Form 990 preparation, and 1099 filings.
- Research credit card discrepancies and chargebacks and prepare required financial surveys and reports.
- Process ACH and wire transactions and oversee monthly corporate credit card reconciliations.
- Prepare materials for Finance Committee and Board meetings.
- Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to support organizational goals and special projects.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a nonprofit organization.
- Strong working knowledge of Quick Books accounting software.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting.
- Understanding of nonprofit accounting principles and financial compliance preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across departments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential information.
