What will you be doing?As part of a select, highly skilled Complex Financial Instruments Valuation team, you will assist in valuing equity compensation, complex capital structures, earnouts, convertible debt, and various other complex assets and liabilities. You will lead a team of Associates and Senior Associates, determine appropriate methodologies, oversee project execution, develop reports, and serve as the primary client contact.
Some Of The Primary Responsibilities Are- End-to-end project management and execution of valuation projects (planning, resourcing, organizing, reviewing)
- Oversee financial analysis on the valuation of complex securities and financial instruments
- Develop narrative reports describing methodologies used, key assumptions, rationale, and findings
- Lead, train, and manage Senior Associates and Associates on the financial and tax reporting valuation team
- Act as point of contact on valuation engagements for clients and internal staff
- Determine methodologies/approach to due diligence in conjunction with Managing Directors and Senior Directors
- Present and communicate valuation conclusions with clients, addressing and clarifying issues or assumptions
- Lead client meetings and presentations, including due diligence calls
- Create a learning environment with coaching and feedback, facilitating development for Senior Associates and Associates
- Cultivate and maintain positive, productive, professional relationships with colleagues and clients
- Collaborate with Managing Directors on practice management and business development efforts

CoreQualifications
- 7+ years of valuations and modeling experience at a Big 4, investment bank, or independent valuation firm
- Experience conducting financial analyses and modeling specifically for complex financial instruments and securities
- Strong educational background and academic record (Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance, Quantitative Finance, Economics, or Mathematics)
- Advanced knowledge of financial statements and valuation methodologies (Monte Carlo simulations, lattice models, statistical analysis, etc.)
- Demonstrated client relationship management skills
- Previous project team management experience
- Proficiency with Octave, Python, MATLAB, or similar financial programming tools
- Experience with Capital IQ
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong writing and presentation skills using PowerPoint and Microsoft Word
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Effective project management and organizational skills

- Ability to work flexibly in a hybrid environment (partial remote, partial office)
The salary range is $160–$180k annually, dependent on factors such as education, experience, skills, and geography. A&M offers a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance. For details, contact the recruiter.
