Senior Accountant​/Controller

Triten is looking to add a Senior Accountant to its team. This person will report directly to the Director, working closely as the “lieutenant”, helping administer, oversee, and execute the various strategies that may be developed. The role will be highly dynamic with involvement in tasks as remedial as approving insurance forms or cash management (releasing wires, reviewing cash reports, reviewing accounting reports) to more managerial such as executing estate planning changes, implementing investment strategies, or helping structure and document investment holdings.

This person will be conscientious and detail-oriented with exceptional follow-through capabilities.

The main purpose of Triten Corp is to be a fiduciary of the family’s capital. This includes oversight of the performance of the two family-owned businesses, monitory liquidity across all family assets (including family-owned vacation properties), investment holdings oversight, estate planning strategies, cash management procedures, as well as overseeing IT and HR plans for both operating businesses. Triten Corp currently has four full-time employees.

All accounting for the various family entities is performed by a third party and each operating company produces its own financial statements.

Triten Corporation is a nearly 80-year-old family-owned and operated holding company with roots in the steel, fabrication, welding, and wear protection industries, but that has also invested in real estate, technology, media, start-up, and other alternative investments. Today Triten operates two primary operating companies in the oil & gas and energy sector:
TritenIAG and Arnco, which both combine for approximately $75-100M of annual revenue. Triten also manages a portfolio of investments in real estate and a handful of other areas.

• Direct all accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management functions of the Company.
• Serve as a hands-on accounting leader by performing and overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, account reconciliations, and cash management.
• Process and review accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense reports, and banking transactions as needed.
• Prepare and review monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage the consolidation of financial data across various business units.
• Prepare, analyze, and present accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Provide accurate explanations of key financial data and financial performance.
• Approve or release wires, as directed.
• Oversee treasury functions, cash flow, and liquidity management.
• Maintain fixed asset records and oversee depreciation schedules.
• Ensure accounting records are complete, accurate, and maintained.

• Track and measure financial performance relative to budgets, providing recommendations and feedback to leadership.
• Develop, review, and update the annual budget and financial forecasts.
• Analyze budget variances and communicate significant findings to leadership.
• Perform operational and financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and business development opportunities.
• Implement financial strategies that support organizational objectives.
