Our client is a global technology-led, Commodity market data and research company, with offices in key trading hubs around the world.
We are looking for a Senior Analyst to join the Oil Product team on a full-time basis in our client’s Houston office.
In this role, you'll draw on your Americas crude oil or refined products market experience, gained at a recognized Price Reporting Agency, to help maintain the quality of our benchmarks, engage with market participants, and build broader recognition and trust in our pricing and index products.

RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE BUT MAY NOT BE LIMITED TO:
- Drawing on your background, you'll take ownership of either the crude oil or refined products module, with responsibility for daily index generation, methodology alignment, and relationship-building with market participants and data contributors in your segment. Beyond the core pricing function, you will:
- Develop trade- and data-driven market insights that contextualize price movements.
- Partner with Commercial and other teams to help clients understand and adopt our data products.
- Contribute to the identification and development of new markets, from early research through to index launch.
- Support webinars, publications, and other thought-leadership content.
- Mentor junior analysts, sharing knowledge and best practices across the team.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- A BA/BS is required, with preference for numerate subjects such as Engineering, Finance, Economics, or related disciplines.
- A minimum of three years of experience in the crude oil or refined products markets at a recognized Price Reporting Agency (PRA) is required.
- Expert knowledge of Americas crude oil or refined products pricing methodologies is required.
- Comfortable sourcing market intelligence and building relationships with data providers.
- Solution-oriented, naturally curious, highly numerate, and eager to learn and adopt new technologies.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the confidence and ability to present information and articulate complex topics clearly.
- A genuine interest in commodities and a strong desire to deepen your understanding of market structure and price formation.
