This is a premier opportunity for a full-time Relationship Manager to join Gulf Capital Bank in Houston, TX. In this role, you will facilitate new business development by cultivating relationships with new prospective clients while continuing to expand and deepen ties with our existing commercial portfolio. Working closely alongside experienced loan officers and bank leadership, you will have the platform to expand your expertise across lending, deposits, and Treasury Management in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.

What You'll Be Working On
  • Business Development: Calling on and visiting potential new and existing clients to cultivate and expand commercial banking relationships.
  • Mentorship & Mentoring: Accompanying experienced loan officers on client calls and strategic meetings to sharpen your deal-structuring and sales acumen.
  • Product Mastery: Continually developing comprehensive knowledge of lending, deposit, and Treasury Management products and services.
  • Professional Growth: Participating in ongoing bank training, industry seminars, and required compliance courses (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Customer Information Privacy).
  • Compliance & Discretion: Adhering strictly to regulatory requirements and handling confidential client information with complete integrity and discretion.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of Commercial Banking or relevant relationship banking experience.
  • Education & Training: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred; completion of a formal credit training program or similar underwriting experience is highly preferred.

    Skills:

    Strong sales, customer service, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Professional Standards: Excellent written/verbal communication skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities independently.
