Position Summary:
Opportune is seeking a Senior Consultant or Manager for their Complex Financial Reporting and Transaction Advisory practices. The consultant will have a focus on performing and leading various accounting/finance projects: technical accounting; complex financial and SEC reporting issues for private and public companies; IPO readiness and execution; due diligence; and financial analytics.
Our professionals often have the opportunity to participate in business transformation, restructuring, and valuation projects.
Requirements for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) & problem-solving skills to effectively interact with clients and project teams
- Highly motivated individual with a goal-oriented personality
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- History of achievement in school and work
- Strong desire for client service
- Audit or consulting experience preferred
Technical Requirements:
- Accounting and/or finance degrees (graduate degrees a plus)
- CPA eligible or strong desire to become a CPA
- Solid working knowledge of the Microsoft office suite with advanced Excel capabilities
- Knowledge and use of generative AI models (e.g., Claude) and related plug-ins to Excel are a plus
