The ideal candidate brings strong accounting fundamentals, sound judgment, and a high level of comfort working with investment data, reconciliations, and deadline-driven reporting cycles.

Responsibilities:

- Manage accounting entries and performance data for publicly traded investments held with multiple custodial partners, ensuring records remain complete and accurate across reporting platforms.

- Produce recurring portfolio reporting for leadership, the Investment Committee, and the Board of Directors on weekly, monthly, and quarterly schedules.

- Lead core month-end activities for the public investment accounting function, including reconciliations, review of account activity, and preparation of necessary journal adjustments.

- Research complex or unusual investment events such as corporate actions, dividend issues, and tax-related transaction impacts to ensure proper financial statement treatment.

- Review cash flow results against forecasts and budgets, then summarize meaningful variances for inclusion in quarterly board reporting materials.

- Contribute investment-related inputs to monthly cash forecasting by estimating recurring income and anticipated trading activity to support liquidity planning.

- Assist with annual audit activities for public securities across multiple entities by preparing support schedules, responding to requests, and coordinating documentation.

- Prepare budget items related to marketable investments and present supporting analysis for annual planning discussions.

- Build strong working knowledge of investment reporting tools such as Addepar to enhance accounting accuracy, reporting quality, and analytical support for the investment team.

- Maintain effective relationships with brokers, custodians, and internal stakeholders while providing ad hoc financial analysis and supporting tax-basis tracking in partnership with the tax team. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

- Approximately 3 to 4 years of experience in accounting, middle-office operations, or a similar financial reporting environment.

- Exposure to investment accounting or securities-related activities is preferred.

- Familiarity with systems such as Net Suite or Addepar is an advantage.

- Strong Microsoft Office skills, with advanced capability in Excel.

- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and apply them to improve accuracy and efficiency.

- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
