Interim Financial Controller

A high-growth technology and managed services organization with a decade-long track record is seeking a hands-on Interim Controller. This role is 3-6 months in duration and will average 32-40 hours per week. The role is Hybrid with two days per week on site required in NW-Houston.

Key Responsibilities

• Core Accounting & Close:
  Execute month-end close, bank reconciliations, and ensure proper booking of revenue, expenses, and COGS in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Board & Executive Reporting:
  Prepare and present monthly/quarterly financial packages, dashboards, and strategic insights to executive leadership and a 10-member Board of Directors.
• Strategic M&A Support:
  Support growth and exit planning through cash flow modeling, valuation analysis, and due diligence execution.
• Budgeting & Forecasting:
  Lead annual budgeting and capital planning
• Operational Execution:
  Oversee AR/AP, cash flow management, internal controls, and data security standards.

Qualifications & Ideal Experience

• Experience Level: Proven track record as a Controller, VP of Finance, or CFO who excels at both high-level board presentations and tactical, hands-on accounting.
• Financial & Domain Expertise:
  Deep understanding of recurring revenue accounting (MRR/ARR), service profitability, and project accounting.
• Industry
  
  Experience:
  
  Background in MSP / IT Managed Services is highly preferred. Experience working with credit unions or financial institution service organizations is a plus.

  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA and/or MBA preferred.
