As a trusted finance business partner to our Operations team, you will gain exposure to a wide range of responsibilities, including financial performance management, forecasting, balance sheet stewardship, operational analysis, and people development. The breadth of the position provides a challenging and rewarding environment where there is always something new to learn and opportunities to make a meaningful impact.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the P&L of two ultra-deepwater drillships operating in the Gulf of Mexico, including revenue preparation ($300-$350 million annually), cost tracking, and variance analysis
• Playing an active role in quarterly forecasting and financial planning processes
• Serving as a key business partner to Operations, helping translate operational performance into financial insights and decision-making
• Mentoring junior analysts and accountants and supporting the onboarding and development of new team members
• Preparation and submission of monthly customer invoices with full support and maintenance of same within accounting system
• Following up with customers and coordinate with operations to ensure contract terms for payment/collections are adhered to
• Monthly and Quarterly balance sheet account analysis of cost center and entity driven accounts for the responsible cost centers and Business Units
• Compilation of Monthly Budget Variance (Bud Var) analysis report inclusive of applicable variance explanations/notes in accordance with month end timetable and structure
• Ensure the correct local business rules for entity accounting are adhered to
• Quarterly forecast and annual budget preparation for rigs and cost centers assigned
• Adhoc requests and analysis as required by supervisor to support role and business. Also assigned to specific accounting projects. Preparation of contracts summary and review with Rig Manager and Supervisor
• Involved in fiscal compliance of indirect taxes

  Bachelor's Degree
• Preferred: CPA or CA
