Credit Analyst

The Anderson Search Group has been engaged by a growing community bank to identify a Credit Analyst to join its growing commercial banking team in Houston. This is an excellent opportunity for an analyst with approximately 2+ years of commercial credit experience who is looking to broaden their underwriting skills within a true community banking environment.

Unlike larger institutions where analysts often specialize in one portion of the credit process, this role offers exposure to the full commercial credit lifecycle while working closely with experienced credit leadership. Candidates should enjoy a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment and be excited to expand their knowledge beyond traditional underwriting.

• Analyze commercial loan requests including C&I, owner-occupied real estate, commercial real estate, SBA, marketable securities, and related commercial credits.
• Spread and analyze financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow.
• Prepare credit memorandums and loan recommendations.
• Perform ongoing portfolio monitoring and annual reviews.
• Assist with risk rating, covenant monitoring, and portfolio management.
• Partner with lenders throughout the underwriting and approval process.
• Support special credit projects and asset quality initiatives.
• Learn multiple aspects of commercial credit in a highly collaborative environment.

• 2+ years of commercial credit analysis experience.
• Community or regional bank preferred.
• Experience underwriting commercial loans.
• Strong financial statement analysis skills.
• Exposure to C&I and commercial real estate lending.
• SBA experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Desire to learn and grow into broader credit responsibilities.
