Community Mortgage Bank Sales Consultant – SAFE

• Sit within assigned bank branches and originate mortgage loans
• Collaborate with branch leadership and participate in branch huddles
• Mentor and coach employees to increase knowledge of mortgage products and processes
• Conduct outbound calls to existing and prospective customers regarding mortgage loan products
• Complete associated tracking activities
• Understand customer needs and provide high-quality customer service
• Inform customers about Wells Fargo Home Mortgage programs
• Analyze and offer mortgage loan products based on client needs
• Process low- to moderately complex mortgage loan applications
• Review rates and terms within guidelines
• Maintain client satisfaction and quality through timely, proactive communication
• Pursue Wells Fargo training to increase knowledge of products, policies, procedures, and underwriting requirements
• Adhere to policies, underwriting, compliance requirements, and loan procedures
• Collaborate with fulfillment partners throughout the origination process
• Monitor mortgage industry trends and developments in the assigned market
• Develop and maintain Wells Fargo Home Mortgage visibility in the marketplace

• 2+ years of sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
• SAFE registration required at the time of employment
• Must meet Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z
• Must meet applicable financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards
• Must meet ongoing regulatory requirements, including additional screening if necessary
• Mortgage retail sales experience preferred
• Expertise in general lending products and mortgage industry experience
• Experience with retail residential mortgage and purchase fundings
• Established relationships with realtor organizations and affordable lending nonprofits preferred
• Experience with community loan products and LMI mortgage solutions preferred
• FHA/VA and conventional loan experience preferred
• Knowledge of sales prospecting and referral generation
• Experience educating clients on mortgage purchase programs
• Experience developing professional relationships
• Customer service experience
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to provide leadership through coaching, training, and mentoring
• Spanish/English bilingual speaking proficiency preferred

Demonstrates expertise in mortgage loan origination, customer service, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Proficient in developing professional relationships and mentoring team members to enhance knowledge of mortgage products.
