Job Description:

What’s the role Shell is seeking a Director of Retail Pricing (also known internally as Pricing Team Lead) to join its team in Houston, TX.Lead Shell’s North America Retail Power Pricing function across ERCOT, PJM, MISO, NYISO, ISO-NE, and CAISO. This role is accountable for pricing execution, pricing methodology development, talent development, and the continuous improvement of pricing capabilities that support profitable growth, risk management, and commercial objectives.

The successful candidate will develop and lead a high-performing team while advancing scalable processes, tools, and operating models that enhance organizational effectiveness.

Accountabilities:

Lead the North America Retail Power Pricing team across ERCOT, PJM, MISO, NYISO, ISO-NE, and CAISOOwn delivery of timely, accurate, and competitive retail power pricing solutions that support profitable growth and risk objectives

Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing team while strengthening technical, commercial, and leadership capabilities across the organization

Establish and govern pricing methodologies, models, assumptions, and analytical standards to support sound commercial decision-making

Drive continuous improvement of pricing capabilities, processes, tools, and operating models to enhance scalability, efficiency, and effectiveness

Identify and execute strategic initiatives that improve pricing capabilities, business outcomes, and organizational performance

Partner with Sales, Portfolio Management, Risk, Regulatory, and Technology teams to align pricing strategies with business objectives

Champion automation, advanced analytics, and emerging technologies to modernize pricing capabilities and accelerate value delivery

What you bring

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer

Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Analytics, or related discipline

At least 5+ years of Retail Power pricing experience in competitive North American power markets

Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing analytical, commercial, or pricing teams

Strong understanding of retail power pricing methodologies, cost build-ups, market fundamentals, and risk drivers

Experience supporting pricing activities across one or more organized power markets (ERCOT, PJM, MISO, NYISO, ISO-NE, and/or CAISO)
Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive cross-functional business outcomes

What we offer

The base salary range for this position is $149,000 - $223,000 per year. Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, seniority, and internal equity.

For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents.
