Singapore, the UK (London), Japan (Tokyo), the US (Houston) and Australia (Brisbane).

This role forms part of JERA's growing North American Gas Trading business, which is expected to transition onto JERAGM’s trading platform. This business is wholly owned by JERA Co., Inc. and will focus on US natural gas trading,optimisation and market development across North America. Successful candidates will join during the build-out phase ahead of the business's planned operational launch.

Within JERAGM’s US business, the Credit function is responsible forall aspects of credit risk management including pre-deal counter party assessments, contractual and credit support negotiations, portfolio credit exposure management (including mitigation), default probability assessments, and credit risk capital assessments.

As a global trading business, JERAGM has counter party exposure in Asia, EMEA, the U.S., and Latin America. The quality of our counter parties ranges from large,listed utilities and global trading companies to small single ship owning organisations. Trading relationships range from bilateral commodity sales and purchases to complex structured transactions with SPVs (IPPs for example).

The current position willbe located in Houston office.

The Analyst,Credit Riskin Houston office will report into the Manager, Credit Risk in Houston office.

• Counter party Credit Assessment:Conduct credit analyses on new and existing counter parties toidentifykey risks, recommend internal credit ratings, propose credit limits and structures, and advise on contractual credit terms.

  Work closely with theJERAGMQuantitative Credit Analysts to ensure Potential Future Exposure (PFE) of both new and existing transactions is understood and incorporated into credit assessments.

• KYC & Compliance Support:Assist KYC and Compliance Analysts as they perform Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks,supporting them as they ensure compliance with the firm’s policies and regulatory requirements, and collaborating on the onboarding of new and review of existing counter parties in thecredit risk system(Cube Logic).

• Stakeholder Engagement:Maintainclose working relationships with a) Front Office teams to align commercialobjectiveswith credit risk considerations as well as b) other Risk,Support and IT Functions to support daily operations.

• Daily Monitoring of Credit Exposure:Monitor and report daily counter party credit exposures to ensure trading activitiesremainwithin approved credit limits and aligned with internal risk guidelines.

• Key Risk Indicator Reporting:Support the Credit team in preparing and delivering Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and other risk reports on an ad hoc basis.

• Agreement and Credit Support Negotiation:Support the Creditand Legalteamsinthenegotiation ofcredit terms and covenants in commodity trading agreement as well as credit supports in collaboration withthe GMAFront Office teams;
