Join the Office of the Attorney General’s (OAG) Child Support Division (CSD) in our mission to encourage responsible parenting by promoting the involvement of both parents in their children’s lives and ensuring that children in Texas receive the support they need and deserve. Under the direction of the Regional Director, this position will perform complex quality control analysis and review work.

Responsibilities
  • Functions as a quality control/case review analyst; identifies trends or problems and recommends appropriate changes.
  • Completes case readings and contacts various sources to validate information.
  • Serves on committees and work groups to provide input on the development of policies, procedures and standards.
  • Conducts timely reviews and reports findings to assist in the development of action plans.
  • Provides training and technical assistance to office staff.
  • Develops information management systems to collect and analyze program performance data.
  • Assists Field Offices as needed with developing and deploying customized macros.
  • May serve as Notary Public.
  • Assesses child support cases to determine appropriate action.
  • Researches case information on the computer, including in the ChAMP system; maintains current knowledge of child support policies and procedures, Texas Family Law, federal regulations and other state and IV‑D regulations.
  • Documents all actions taken.
  • Performs related work as assigned.
  • Maintains relevant knowledge necessary to perform essential job functions.
  • Attends work regularly in compliance with the agreed‑upon work schedule.
  • Ensures security and confidentiality of sensitive and/or protected information.
  • Complies with all agency policies and procedures, including those pertaining to ethics and integrity.
Qualifications
  • Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; experience in the following (or closely related) fields may be substituted for the required education on a year‑for‑year basis:
    Child Support Program, investigations, customer service, and auditing.
  • Experience: Two (2) years of full‑time experience working in the following (or closely related) fields:
    Child Support Program, investigations, and auditing.
  • Knowledge: Child Support Program policies and procedures.
  • Skill: Handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines.
  • Skill: Effective oral and written communication.
  • Skill: Exercising sound judgment and effective decision making.
  • Ability: Receive and respond positively to constructive feedback.
  • Ability: Work cooperatively with others in a professional office environment.
  • Ability: Provide excellent customer service.
  • Logistics: Work in person at assigned OAG work location, perform all assigned tasks at designated OAG workspace within OAG work location, and perform in‑person work with coworkers (e.g., collaborating, training, mentoring) for the entirety of every work week (unless approved leave).
  • Logistics: Arrange for personal transportation for business‑related travel.
  • Logistics: Work more than 40 hours as needed and in compliance with the FLSA.
  • Physical: Lift and relocate up to 30 lbs.
  • Travel: Travel (including overnight travel) up to 5% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited four‑year college or university.
  • Experience: Auditing and investigating, use of Excel and Word Perfect 10, ChAMP and the Texas Child Support Program.
  • Knowledge: Macros.
  • Skills: Handling complex case inquiries.
  • Other Language: Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish proficiently.
