Summary
:
As a Contract Specialist, you will oversee the full lifecycle contract administration for a diverse portfolio of complex projects.

Federal Acquisition Service;
Office of Assisted Acquisition Service, Office of Centralized Acquisition Services, or Office of Shared Services Delivery.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and agency authority on acquisition methodology, including requirements definition, solicitation, evaluation, award, and delivery of commercial and/or non‑commercial acquisitions.
- Prepare acquisition documentation, determine acquisition strategy, develop acquisition objectives, and construct contractual vehicles.
- Plan negotiation strategies, coordinate with technical experts, lead negotiations, and award contracts.
- Review, validate, and provide guidance on price analysis, market research, IGCE, and other pre‑award documentation.
- Establish and maintain relationships with government agency clients, stakeholders, and private industry partners.
- Perform contract administration: incremental funding, rate and cost adjustments, change orders, stop work orders, cure notices, government property reporting, progress payments, dispute and claims resolution, and final payment and closeout.
- US Citizenship or National (Residents of American Samoa and Swains Island).
- Meet all eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date.
- Register with Selective Service if applicable.
- Act as a current or former political appointee only with OPM authorization.
- Serve a one‑year probationary period if required.
- Undergo and pass a Tier 4 background investigation.
- Verify identity and work status eligibility via e‑Verify.
- Complete a financial disclosure report.
- Travel may be required (up to four days, multiple times per month) for the Office of Assisted Acquisition Service.
- Provide detailed employment history (dates, hours per week).
- Optional volunteer experience through national service programs.
- GS‑13 salary range starts at $106,437 per year; new federal employees may start at Step 1 of the selected grade.

Submit transcripts documenting the required bachelor’s degree and qualifying semester hours; eligibility cannot be verified without them.
Specialized experience (GS‑12 or higher) is required, encompassing:
- Developing and applying acquisition strategies.
- Providing acquisition guidance and recommendations.
- Applying acquisition methodologies across various contract types.
- Assisting in acquisition planning, drafting solicitations, and contracting activities.
