Project Controls Director
AECOM is seeking an innovative and proactive Project Controls Director, the candidate will be involved in a number of projects and project teams at the same time, at various stages of the projects' lifecycle, from inception through close-out, varying in complexity and value. We are working with a top tier Biopharmaceutical client to expand their Houston based campus.
The responsibilities of Project Controls Director include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare monthly financial reports
- Reviews purchase order and subcontract commitments and expenditures; maintains tracking database to ensure that funding is aligned with work authorization and expenditures
- Review and advise on uncommitted balances
- Evaluate and advise on contingency balances
- Examine vendor invoices / applications for payment
- Lead the change control process
- Project financial close-out
- Evaluate productivity versus budget limitations including preparation of variance analysis
- Compares actual cost to funding limitations; prepares expenditure forecasts to identify critical points in project funding
- Conducts or assists in performance measurement and associated cost trending / forecasting
- Participates in and may lead project cost review meetings
- Assists in procedure development and implementation
- Conduct periodic construction project site visits to monitor project progress and assure progress schedule integrity, and participate in regular progress schedule meetings with construction team
Minimum Requirements
- BA/BS + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership
- Knowledge of construction scheduling using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project
Preferred Qualifications
- Impeccable verbal, written and numeracy skills in a client facing capacity
- Ability to work under own initiative and unsupervised, but also as part of a team
- Experience of working in process manufacturing and/or bio-pharmaceutical industries; on-site experience is preferred but not required
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and Teams
- Familiarity with business intelligence / reporting / dashboarding tools such as Power BI / Tableau
- Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position
- Relocation is not available now or in the future
