Base pay range$40,000.00/yr - $60,000.00/yr
Position OverviewOur client is seeking a skilled and empathetic Mental Health Counselor to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping clients navigate emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges through therapeutic interventions. This role involves conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering high-quality counseling services in alignment with ethical and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual, group, and family counseling to clients with diverse mental health needs.
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and create tailored treatment plans.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, trauma-informed approaches, and person-centered therapy.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor client progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and participate in case reviews.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including supervisors, case managers, and external providers.
- Offer crisis intervention and safety planning as required.
- Uphold ethical guidelines, confidentiality standards, and state licensing board regulations.
- Participate in trainings, staff meetings, and professional development activities.
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Active state licensure (e.g., LPC, LMHC, LCSW, LMFT) or eligibility for licensure.
- Experience providing mental health counseling to diverse populations.
- Strong understanding of therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) is a plus.
- Experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, or substance use disorders.
- Certification or specialized training in specific therapeutic modalities.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
